Outstanding A level results for students at The Charter School North Dulwich
64% of students achieved at least one A grade or equivalent with over 20% of students gaining all A*/A grades. It is expected that the vast majority of students will progress to their first choice of university or college for further study, including students heading to Oxbridge, Medical School and Veterinary School.
41% of all A level grades achieved at The Charter School North Dulwich this year were A*/A, and 67% were A*- B. 44% of all students gained at least 3 A levels with A* to B grades. 88% of students gained 3 A levels grades A*-C. It was also another strong performance this year in BTEC subjects with 100% of students gaining a Distinction/Merit in Business BTEC, whilst in Sports and Leisure BTEC 86% of students gained a Distinction/Merit.
The Charter School North Dulwich is an inclusive, state funded school, recognised as one of the top schools in the country for achievement at both GCSE and A level. Head teacher, Christian Hicks, said today, “Once again we have seen our students’ hard work over the past two years produce another set of outstanding A level and BTEC results. I am incredibly proud of the perseverance and focus on excellence shown by all of our students and their teachers.”
The majority of our students have gained fantastic grades in their A levels and/or Level 3 BTECs and many of them will now be heading to their first choice of University, but there have also been some exceptional individual performances:
Frankie Fennelly gained an A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics and an A* in his Extended Project Qualification and is taking a gap year.
Lucas Fothergill gained 3 A* in Further Maths, Maths, Physics and an A in Spanish and will be starting his degree in Maths at Edinburgh in September.
Telma Viveiros gained an A* in both Chemistry and Maths, and an A in both Physics and Biology. She will now be studying Medicine at UCL.
Ella Pound – gained an A* in English an A in both Government and Politics and History and an A* in her Extended Project Qualification and will be reading English at Cambridge University.
Hendy Trieu gained an A* in both Maths and Further Maths and an A in Chemistry and will be studying Maths at Kings College London.
Alexander Galouzis gained an A* in both Maths and Economics, an A in Geography together with an A* in his Extended Project Qualification. He will now be studying Economics at UCL.
Dylan Brewerton-Harper gained an A* in both English and History, an A in Government and Politics and an A* in his Extended Project Qualification. He will be heading to Manchester University to study Politics and Modern History after a gap year.
Nia Shakiye Harris-Blair – gained an A in Media Studies, a Distinction in Sports and Leisure, a B in Biology and an A* in her Extended Project Qualification and will be going to Loughborough to study Sports Psychology.
Bianca Todorut gained an A* in both English and Psychology and an A in Geography and will study Psychology at Kings College London.
Zaki Salma – gained an A* in Maths and an A in both Physics and Chemistry and will now study Physics at UCL.
Isabel Raikes gained an A* in both Biology and Chemistry and an A in Maths and will study Chemistry at Durham.
Oscar Osmond – gained an A* in Art and an A in both Chemistry and Maths and will study Architecture at Sheffield University.
Alex Bottomley gained an A* in both Maths and Economics and an A in Further Maths and will now be heading off to study Maths at Bristol.
Helena Norman – gained an A* in Biology, an A in both Chemistry and Maths and an A* in her Extended Project Qualification and will be studying Veterinary Science at Edinburgh University.
There were significant achievements across a range of subjects at A*/B grade: Maths 78%, English 88%, History 70%, Biology 70%, Chemistry 71%, Economics 81%, Geography 82%, Sociology 78%, Art 76%, EPQ 100%, French 100%, Government and Politics 73%, Spanish 71%.
