This years whole school production of the musical, Grease, opened to rave reviews on July 3rd and played to packed houses over three nights.

Named after the 1950s United States working class youth subculture known as greasers, the musical is set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School and follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love. The score borrows heavily from the sounds of early rock and roll.

Students and staff worked tirelessly to bring this production to life, and their hard work really paid off. You can read some of the reviews below:

'I have just got home after a really enjoyable evening at North Dulwich - it was a fabulous production with some really stand- out performances. All those involved are to be congratulated on the very high standard achieved - you have some very talented dancers, singers and actors of all ages.'

'The performance was wonderful,  such talented students!!'

'My child absolutely loved the whole experience. It was the first time he'd put himself forward for a school production. He was buzzing with energy and happiness. A real pleasure to see him rise to the challenge and get so much enjoyment from it.'

Headteacher, Mr Hicks commented:

'I just want to say how brilliant our school production of Grease was.  Everything was really amazing – music, acting, singing, choreography, costumes, set design and props.  I can’t believe a life sized car was actually featured!  The staff and students involved should all be very proud.'

Huge congratulations to everyone involved!
