The week before half term, all Year 9's taking part in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, completed the expedition section. Despite some rainy weather during the first half of the week, students on both trips demonstrated fantastic team work and determination to successfully complete their walk through the beautiful Surrey hills. Being able to map-read footpaths and use a compass to successfully reach each checkpoint is a true skill, and every student taking part should be proud of the perseverance and independence that they demonstrated throughout. A highlight was watching students back in the campsite, cooking their dinner together and playing games such as rounders and football, while the sun set.
