This October and November, The Charter School North Dulwich celebrated Black History Month with the theme Reclaiming Narratives. The month showcased Black excellence, focusing on achievements and contributions of Black Britons, and raised over £1,300 for the Sickle Cell Society.

Event Highlights:

  • BHM Fusion Fest (9th October): A sell-out celebration of Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latinx cuisine.
  • BHM Bake Sale (5th November): Supported by local bakeries, this sweet event brought the community together.
  • Black Stars Talent Show & Essay Competition (22nd November): The grand finale included inspiring performances, essay awards, and recognition of our dedicated staff and students.

This year’s celebrations reflected the school community’s commitment to amplifying Black voices and reclaiming narratives—not just during Black History Month, but every day.

Thank you to everyone who made this month unforgettable!
