Laura is a physical education teacher and has lived in South London all her life. She co-founded BAMEPE, a social change movement that seeks to raise the profile of the subject and to provide support for BAME, LGBTQ+, and those with a disability to create a more equitable environment within education. She became a governor in her local community to share her knowledge and experience of young people’s experience of growing up in and around this environment.
